The Problem

A client had a new pipeline integrity engineer that needed more in-depth training on 195.452.

Approach

Integrity EPC created a 195.452 training to incorporate current PHMSA Integrated Audit questions as well as current PHMSA regulations.  This approach combines knowledge of the regulations, knowledge of client procedures and how both are directly applied in an audit.

Execution

To make the 195.452 training more applicable to the client’s current situation, Integrity EPC did an Integrity Management Plan (IMP) review as they performed an internal audit on the client’s procedures. The result gave the engineer a more real-world view of the how the regulations are applied in an audit as well as what he needed to focus on in the client’s current IMP plan.

Results

Integrity EPC  delivered two results in one; first, Integrity EPC satisfied best practice training elements by provided 195.452 training to a client Integrity Engineer and second, Integrity EPC delivered a final IMP gap analysis to the client.   The gap analysis detailed what information was reviewed during the training, identified IMP gaps and recommendations based on the review of the client’s current IMP plan and provided a path forward for how those IMP gaps can be addressed.

Integrity EPC can provide training to your personnel either in person or online. Please let us know if you have a new engineer that needs training or even a seasoned hire who wants to freshen up on PHSMA regulations.
